About Kidopia

We take care of your happiness

Kidopia Early Learning Centre was built around a simple belief: when children feel safe and genuinely known, learning takes care of itself.

Our Story

Built by parents, for parents

Kidopia is an early learning centre offering a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.

Established in 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Kidopia childcare and preschool was founded by a microbiologist and parent with a vision to create a place where families could feel confident their children were safe, valued, and inspired to learn. These values remain the foundation of everything we do.At Kidopia, the paramount consideration is the safety, wellbeing, and best interests of every child. As a proud child safe organisation, we are committed to protecting, respecting, and empowering every child in a secure, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Our Philosophy

Why the Bilby?

The bilby is one of Australia's most unique native animals. It has survived by adapting to its environment rather than trying to be like every other animal.

Just as every bilby has its own strengths, every child has their own talents, interests, culture and way of learning. The bilby beautifully represents this belief — and reflects everything Kidopia stands for.

"Every child is different, and that's their superpower."

Six Beliefs

A story in six chapters

Each part of Kiko's story mirrors something we promise every child who walks through our doors.

Celebrating Every Child's Individuality

Every child learns differently, grows differently and shines differently. We celebrate each child's strengths, abilities, interests and identity, empowering them to learn in their own way.

Every child is unique — and that is something to celebrate.

02

Belonging

Bilbies thrive where they feel safe and secure. Kidopia creates a warm, welcoming community where every child belongs, is respected and is valued for exactly who they are.

Children flourish when they know they belong.

03

Protection & Wellbeing

As a vulnerable native species, the bilby reminds us of our responsibility to protect those in our care. We are committed to a child-safe culture where safety, wellbeing, rights and dignity always come first.

Safe children become confident learners.

04

Respect for Australia's First Peoples

The bilby holds cultural significance for many Aboriginal communities. Kiko helps children appreciate Australia's natural heritage while supporting our commitment to reconciliation and respect for Country.

Respect begins with understanding.

Resilience & Growth

Bilbies are resilient, resourceful and adaptable — the very qualities children build as they meet challenges and discover their potential through play, exploration and meaningful relationships.

Confidence grows through curiosity.

06

Caring for Our World

As an ambassador for conservation, the bilby reminds children to care for animals, nature, their community and each other — reflecting our commitment to sustainability.

Small actions create a brighter future.

Meet Kiko — Kidopia's Friend of Belonging

Kiko the Bilby reminds us that every child is unique, every voice matters and every difference is a strength.

Like the bilby, children flourish when they feel safe, valued and free to be themselves.

At Kidopia we celebrate individuality, nurture curiosity, protect children's rights and inspire them to care for one another, our community and the world around them.

Our Motto

Every Child is Different. Every Difference is a Superpower.
